Chris Meek

Chris Meek is a performance analyst and coaching professional with extensive experience across elite and development football environments, specialising in analysing performance to support better decision-making, learning, and match preparation. He built a strong foundation within English football through multi-year roles at Leeds United and The Football Association, combining academy-to-first-team analysis delivery with education-focused work that supports best practice in the professional game.

He spent over four years at Leeds United, initially leading the club’s academy analysis provision as Head of Academy Performance Analysis (July 2014–June 2017). In that role, he drove analysis support for the U23 and U18 squads while overseeing the wider academy framework from U16 through to U9, helping to systemise processes and standards across age groups. He then progressed into the first-team environment as First Team Performance Analyst (June 2017–August 2018), operating in a full-time capacity to support match preparation, opposition analysis, and performance feedback at senior level.

Following his time at Leeds United, Meek moved into The Football Association, working as an FA Education Professional Game Performance Analyst (September 2018–March 2020) before stepping into a full-time Performance Analyst role (March 2020–October 2021). Across these FA positions, his work centred on supporting analysis practice within the professional game context, aligning analytical outputs with coach education, and helping improve how performance insights are collected, communicated, and applied.

Earlier in his pathway, he gained valuable experience through a First Team & U21 Performance Analysis Internship at Huddersfield Town (January 2013–May 2014), providing exposure to the demands of analysis across both senior and development squads. Alongside his football work, he also developed experience in applied coaching through an Online Coach role at RCA Fitness (September 2021–July 2023), reflecting a broader interest in supporting performance through structured, individualised programming.

Academically, Chris Meek completed an MSc in Sport Coaching (Merit) at Leeds Beckett University (2012–2014), after earning a BSc in Sport Coaching at Leeds Metropolitan University (2009–2012).
