Diogo Ferreira

Diogo Ferreira is a sports dietitian and applied performance nutrition practitioner who blends elite-club experience with private consultancy work, supporting athletes with practical, evidence-led nutrition strategies that fit the realities of training load, travel, recovery, and match-day demands. He is the Founder & CEO of Nutriwin – Sports Nutrition(January 2021–present), based in Lisbon, where he leads a performance nutrition consultancy supporting players and active individuals through structured planning, fuelling education, and long-term habit development.

Before launching Nutriwin, Ferreira worked across both private practice and elite football environments. He ran a Sports Nutrition consultancy / private practice (September 2019–May 2021) and spent time in Saudi Arabia as a Sports Dietitian/Nutritionist at Al Hilal FC (July 2018–November 2019), gaining first-hand experience of performance support in an international, high-pressure setting. In parallel, he contributed to athlete and community-based nutrition support through CHASE Training Academy (April 2017–November 2019) in Lisbon. Ferreira also has extensive experience within Portuguese football, including a long spell connected to Sport Lisboa e Benfica, where he built applied understanding of academy-to-elite nutrition demands across a multi-year period.

Academically, he completed a Master’s degree in Sports Nutrition at the University of Stirling (2019–2020), aligned with the Physiology, Exercise and Nutrition Research Group, and earned the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Diploma in Sports Nutrition (2015–2017), strengthening his foundation in high-performance sport nutrition and its practical delivery.
