Victor Salinas

Victor Salinas is a highly experienced football physiotherapist and performance rehabilitation specialist, recognised for leading injury prevention, treatment, and return-to-play work across elite club environments. He studied Physiotherapy (Diplomatura en Fisioterapia) at the Universidad de Murcia (1995–1998) and completed further training in Osteopathy (Osteopatía) at the Universidad de Alcalá (1998–2004), underpinning an applied clinical profile that combines hands-on therapy with structured reconditioning and prevention strategies.

He is the CEO of Innova Instituto de Salud y Deporte (January 2012–present), where his work centres on the readaptation and treatment of professional athletes, alongside consultancy and education activity that supports practitioners and organisations with applied performance-health practice.

In professional football, Salinas has held senior leadership roles in medical and performance departments. He also worked with Villarreal CF as Coordinator of Physiotherapy, Prevention, and Reconditioning (2010–2012), with responsibilities including the design of individual and group prevention plans, sports injury treatment, and return-to-activity progression.

Earlier in his elite club pathway, Salinas worked at Liverpool Football Club as a Physiotherapist (June 2005–June 2009), focusing on sports injury treatment and rehabilitation/return to play, contributing to day-to-day clinical support within a top-level professional setting.
