In Module 1, you will gain an understanding of what is required to be a sports nutritionist in an elite soccer environment. You will know how to build trust amongst staff and support staff, how to make some quick easy wins in an elite soccer club through nutrition and you'll be capable of using a behavioural change model to positively enhance players behaviour towards nutrition.
02Nutritional Support for the Youth Soccer Player

In Module 2, you will understand the key challenges along the LTAD pathway and how to develop their own nutritional support structure, understand what the end goal involves, and be able to work backwards to maximise development and be able to think critically about nutritional support during growth and maturation.
03Soccer specific fuelling (a): the role of carbohydrates

In Module 3, you will gain an understanding of the structure and forms of carbohydrates, the basics of the carbohydrate metabolism, the role of carbohydrates in soccer, the recommendations for carbohydrates intake in soccer and you will be able to identify risks of a low carbohydrate diet in soccer.
04Energy requirements for soccer: nutritional periodisation

In Module 4, you will gain an understanding of the seasonal overview of training & match-play, metabolic demands & carbohydrate requirements of soccer, meal types & nutritional strategies used in elite professional soccer, fuel for the work performed – periodisation approach and nutritional periodisation in elite professional soccer.
